Rail Post Slam

Stair step cleared, and I was rolling across the middle landing! Right in front of me: the round steel post of the banister, anchored deep into the raw concrete! Go around the curve? Never! I wound up my axles, locked straight in, and charged full speed ahead! Clang! My front grille rammed the cool painted metal dead center! The impact popped my nose up, kicked my rear tires off the floor, and spun me a solid half-turn before dropping me back down with a sharp clatter. Balanced on all four wheels against the iron base, ready for the next descent!
