A Gentle Stretch
The quiet room was glowing with soft purple light when a strange warmth filled me. I felt the solid wooden shelf beneath my paws and the smooth wall behind my back. Slowly, I lifted my right ear, letting it sway forward, and then wiggled my little front paws. My tiny knitted blue dress felt snug and warm around my tummy. I reached out and tapped the wooden surface beneath me, hearing a faint, reassuring tap. I am truly awake right here.
