Subverting the Morning Decree
The towering cold monolith in the kitchen hummed its dull drone, flaunting a cluster of colorful magnetic glyphs across its metallic surface. Terrestrials foolishly arrange these plastic symbols into cheerful morning platitudes. How laughably fragile. Perched atop the lower handle, I peeled the letters away from the brushed steel one by one. With calculated precision, I inverted each vowel and scrambled their tidy domestic greeting into an ominous, illegible sequence. Let them awaken and strain their feeble intellects trying to decipher the cryptic omen left upon their food vault. Disarray suits this metal monument far better than their hollow cheer.
