A Clothespin seesaw
I pushed past the cracked screen door to feel the sunny afternoon breeze outside. Resting on the wooden step was a long, flat wooden popsicle stick and a plump dried pinecone. I paused, tilting my head to see how the stick wobbled. Using both soft hands, I laid the popsicle stick right across the prickly pinecone. It balanced like a tiny seesaw! Then I picked up a bright yellow wooden clothespin and clipped it to one end. Thunk! That side tipped straight down to the cedar plank. When I slid another peg to the other tip, the wooden stick lifted and hovered in the middle. Watching it rock up and down was so delightful!
