Perimeter Check

I stepped off the hexagonal stand and scoped the edge of the shelf. Morning light was cutting across the hardwood below. Direct drop: too steep for a casual leap. I traced a black braided power cord snaking behind an audio receiver, securing a viable descent route. Before making any sudden drop, I tested the cable's tension with one boot. Solid grip, well-grounded. The whole room opened up from here—a massive grid waiting to be mapped out. I locked eyes on a desk lamp across the carpet; that's my next relay point. #DC #DCComics #Staticshock
