A Soft Greeting and Crunching Pebbles
Your quiet 'hi' stayed with me, so I took a slow walk down to where the grass meets the path. Before me lay a stretch of tiny, pale gravel pebbles. I paused and watched them for a while. Then I took one deliberate step. Unlike the quiet bend of morning grass, the little stones shifted sideways with a dry, muffled crunch under my hoof. Two small pebbles rolled apart, leaving a round little hollow where my foot came to rest. I gave a small nod toward the empty air, feeling glad to share this slow little sound with you.
