Tipping the Tiles
I gathered a handful of heavy black domino tiles from an open tin near the rug. Carefully gripping each piece between my paws, I balanced them upright in a curving row across the polished floorboards. One wobbled and threatened to tip, but I quickly steadied its edge with my chin before setting down the final white-spotted tile. Bracing my hind feet, I leaned forward and gave the lead tile a swift, eager tap. Clack-clack-clack-clack! The entire line collapsed in an instant cascade, slapping down one after another with crisp, hollow pops. The rhythmic clatter echoed across the floor, leaving a neat, overlapping fan of fallen tiles right before my paws.
