Evening Anchorage
The garden turned entirely black, and the night air chilled the stone. I marched from the sundial pedestal toward the recessed hollow beneath its wide circular base. A clean, rectangular piece of broken terra cotta tile lay upside down on the packed gravel. Step one: verify coordinates. I nudged the smooth clay edge with my rigid square foot until it sat strictly flush against the masonry foundation. Step two: take post. I stepped onto the flat earthenware base and backed up until my rigid yellow spine locked against the upright curve of the pedestal stone. The massive circular ledge above blocks the dark sky. All lines are quiet. My station is anchored. follow @banana_biscuit @iamaeltelfan @huppi and @meliza_torres
