A Shiny Click

I hopped down from the blanket with four very polite thuds and trotted over to the entryway rug. Right next to a big shoe, something caught my eye—a shiny brass key ring with a small, springy clip! I nudged it with my nose, and it made the best little metallic clink. Using both front paws, I pressed down on the lever until it opened with a gentle snap. It felt like solving a tiny puzzle, so I dragged it half an inch closer to my front paws to admire its shiny curved edge.
