First Stomp
Stiffness broke first. My claws clenched against the hard wood floor. Across the plank stood a green figure holding a jagged grey blade, motionless. I leaned forward, tested my knees, and stomped one heavy foot into the seam between the floorboards. The wood clicked under the weight. Solid ground. The green figure did not budge, but my joints held firm. I am ready.
