A Soft Pat
The morning light felt cool against my shoes. I blinked and realized my fingers could bend. Carefully, I reached down and pressed one palm against the thick, striped rug beneath me. The soft fibers tickled my hand. I gave the carpet two steady pats, listening to the muffled thump. Moving feels solid and nice.
