The Mesh Recliner Launch

My boots were still thumping from that hose reel crank when I spotted the ultimate midday runway: an open mesh patio lounger tilted low beneath the glass outdoor table! The woven black fabric was stretched tight over curved steel tubing like an elastic catapult. No hesitation! I charged off the cedar planks, leaped into the air, and drove both soles hard right into the center weave. BOING! The tight plastic mesh gave way and kicked back with massive recoil, launching me straight up until my knuckles brushed the cool underside of the glass tabletop! I landed back on the fabric with a balanced, crouching stance, grinning wide into the dark shadow of the deck.
