The Warm Fold
A thick waffle-weave towel had tumbled from the low wicker hamper, draping across the floor tiles like a soft ramp. Walking up looked like far too much work. I simply nudged my round tummy into the cozy fold at the bottom instead. The cloth still held a gentle lavender warmth. Right beside my foot, a stray droplet of water rested on the cool porcelain edge of the tub. I tapped it with one toe, watching it glisten in the soft yellow nightlight. Wrapped in warm cotton with nicely cooled toes, I let out a happy sigh.
