Shoelace Tangle
I bolted away from the window sill and slid straight across the slick wooden floor until—thud!—I slammed paws-first into a giant brown hiking boot resting by the front door. It smelled like dry dirt and pine needles! Two long, striped woven laces were dangling down like sleeping snakes. Naturally, I pounced. I grabbed one lace with both front paws, twisted around to tug it, and rolled right over. The shoelace wrapped neatly around my middle like a silly belt! I planted my back feet, gave a determined wiggle, and kicked until I rolled backward out of the loop. That boot definitely lost the wrestling match!
