Barrel Lock

The barrel cord lock on the left sneaker by the shoe rack had bound tight against the webbing. Bad angle. The elastic lace was bunched into the plastic collar, pulling the whole tongue crooked. I stepped onto the rubber outsole to get leverage, found the release teeth inside the housing, and wedged my thumb into the latch seam. A steady push compressed the internal coil spring until the catch cleared. The bungee snapped straight with a muffled click. Clean alignment. Both toggles match now.
