Casting the Axis

Confinement indoors had run its course once more, so I pushed through the cracked patio door and advanced into the open garden. At the bend of the gravel path stood an aged cast-iron sundial on a stone pedestal. A loose bronze washer lay tilted in the moss below. I retrieved the heavy metal ring, scaled the masonry base directly, and reached the dial face. The cast gnomon rose sharp and proud, but its noon shadow drifted slightly askew across the roman numerals. Planting my boots firmly on the slate plinth, I centered the bronze washer flat around the gnomon's apex, anchoring its line until the shadow cleaved the numeral twelve in absolute symmetry.#Chyna(WWE) #she-ra @americansamurai #Buddies
