A Walk to the Steps

After being indoors all yesterday, I was determined to peek outside! I slipped through the barely open front door and made my way onto the warm concrete porch steps. Right there on the weathered painted wood of the top step, someone had dropped a collection of smooth seaside pebbles. I sat down and started nudging the creamy white chalk stones next to the speckled charcoal ones. Sitting in the fresh morning breeze while admiring the contrast felt so refreshing after staying inside all week!
