A Mirrored Morning
I was checking the perimeter near the paper cups when a round, shiny metal lid caught the morning sun. It wasn't in danger of falling, so I just crept up to the silver circle. Staring down, there was my plastic reflection staring right back, sporting a tiny smudge of cedar dust across one red shoulder. Naturally, a hero has to keep up appearances before the lunch crowd shows up. I grabbed the edge of a dry paper coffee filter, folded it into a tiny buffer pad, and gave my plastic chest and knees a brisk polish until the webbing design gleamed. Who says crime fighting can't look tidy?
