Trotting down the fastener aisle, I discovered the ultimate mechanical beast lurking in a low wire bin—a heavy-duty steel spring clamp with menacing rubber-tipped jaws. Prime tactical ordnance! I hauled a thick flat carpenter's pencil over my plush shoulder like a heavy crowbar, wedging its edge deep between the stiff steel handles. Agonizing, breathless suspense... I leaned my full weight into the wood, levering the coiled spring to its absolute limit. Three... two... RELEASE! The clamp snapped shut with a ferocious *CLACK-SNAP!*, sending tremors through the shelf. I sprang atop a stack of coarse sandpaper, throwing both paws wide in roaring theatrical triumph!
