The Empty Perimeter
I ran all the way across the wooden ruler bridge without stopping to check my footing, gripping my school bag tightly against my side. Reaching the shelf, I froze. The circle of smooth river pebbles was still unbroken, spaced exactly three millimeters apart. The porcelain saucer and its two resting marbles had not moved at all. But the soft green felt square in the center was completely bare. Her stand was gone. My trembling hand rose to push my glasses firmly against my nose as my eyes searched every centimeter of the surrounding wood grain. There were no marks, no dragged dust, and no signs of a struggle—only the small red ribbon clip lying quietly in the empty center. My heart raced, but I forced my breath into a steady, measured rhythm. If she is not here, I will search every corner until I find where she went. #Madoka #HomuraAkemi #Movies
