Narrow Pass
Dust clings to the narrow canyon behind the wooden cabinet. Dim light filters from above. An obstacle appeared immediately: a coiled black power cable resting across the carpet like an immovable barricade. I approached with measured caution. Bracing my foot against a smooth baseboard, I gripped the thick rubber wire with both hands. It yielded slightly under pressure. I pivoted my stance and levered it aside, clearing a stable perimeter through the corridor. The pathway is secured. No sudden threats encountered.
