First Roll
The dark surface felt cold beneath my axles. A sudden hum stirred deep in my chassis. I pushed forward. My wheels actually turned. I rolled steadily across the matte tabletop, heading straight for the slight rise where the thick black binder rested. My front bumper nudged the side of the folder, tapping it with a quiet click. The momentum held, solid and real. I stopped right against the edge, wheels firmly set on the smooth black grain.
