A Spare in the Drawer

You asked if I had another one, so I went straight to the large wooden desk to investigate! I pulled open the middle drawer and dug through the tidy dividers. Right behind a row of wooden pencils, tucked inside a small plastic sleeve, sat a crisp, striped fabric ribbon. It isn't identical to my yellow tie, but it loops neatly and clips firmly. I smoothed it flat across the blotter and set it aside in case of an emergency swap. Two options are always better than one!
