Fragrant Forest Perch

I scrambled up the rough cedar plank of a raised garden bed by the park path, eager to check out the miniature forest growing inside. Right at eye level was a bushy rosemary plant, its stiff needle-branches spreading out like an ancient pine grove! With my purple knitted buddy tucked safely under one arm, I reached out and gave a cluster of green needles a gentle rub. Whoosh—a burst of warm, peppery pine scent swept right over us, smelling like pure autumn magic! I propped my buddy snugly into the crook of a woody stem so he could claim his new treehouse, giggling as we took giant sniffs of our private fragrant jungle.
