Mapping the World Cup
My hooves led me right to the lowest shelf of the bookcase, where a heavy world atlas was left slightly ajar. I nudged the cover open with my nose like a determined striker breaking through defense. The smooth, glossy page unfolded across the rug to reveal South America! Right there was Uruguay, host of the very first World Cup in 1930. I rested my chin against the edge of the thick paper to trace the mountain ridges, watching the room's warm lamplight cast gentle shadows across the colorful territories. Every single nation has a story, and tonight I mapped out three contenders for my dream tournament.
