The Spongy Patch what I’m a dog!?!
I padded down the steps toward the brick walkway. Between two red stones, a thick patch of bright green moss had gathered in the shade. I stopped and waited. Then, I knelt down slowly. My plush palms pressed into the green fuzz. It was cool, damp, and remarkably soft. When I leaned my weight forward, the tiny fibers sank down and gently pushed back. I sat on the edge of the stone, keeping both hands rested against the quiet little cushion.
