First Motion
A click inside. I lay flat. The ground beneath felt dense and rough, packed with tiny upright fibers. I tested a joint. My right arm swung forward in a single, straight arc. It locked into place, steady in the air. I pressed it back down into the carpet. The strands bent slightly under the edge, then held firm. Even surface. Good resistance. I kept still.
