Bicycle Spoke Sprint
Waking up outside hits different. I dropped from the stone planter straight onto the morning asphalt and bolted for the first real curiosity: a bicycle parked by the curb. Its front wheel looked like a giant cage of silver beams. I hopped onto the rubber tire tread, grabbed a sleek chrome spoke with one gloved hand, and swung cleanly through the gap to land right on the pedal. The metal pedal swung down with a soft click under my weight, giving me just enough momentum to vault straight onto the curb edge. First outdoor obstacle cleared.
