Magnetic Docking Maneuver

I jogged across the smooth floorboards straight toward the dark gap beside the lower bookshelf! Nestled right in the corner was an abandoned round brass fridge magnet and a shiny metal washer. A two-part docking payload! I planted my boots firmly on the wood, clamped my curved hands around the washer's rim, and dragged it across the floor toward the magnet. Click! The magnetic pull snatched the ring right out of my grip with a sharp snap! The two metallic discs locked together into a solid two-tier landing pad. Docking ring firmly secured!
