A Lacy Castle of Playing Cards
I scrambled down from the bookshelf and hopped right onto the low coffee table, where a half-opened deck of playing cards lay spilled across the wood. Instead of just looking at them, I decided to be a master builder! I stood two red diamond cards against each other, leaning their tops together until they formed a pointed little tent. Carefully, with light steps, I laid an embroidered lace coaster across the apex like a delicate carpeted roof. When I stepped back and gave a quiet, bouncy hum, the tiny tent didn't even wobble!
