First Sprint Launch

I had to see how fast these legs really go! I picked a smooth wooden runway leading straight across the low coffee table. Knees bent, leaned forward, and took off in a full sprint! But halfway across, my boot caught against a stray metal coaster—skidded sideways, knocked right into an empty ceramic mug, and came to an abrupt halt. The mug slid an inch with a loud scrape, but didn't tip. Shook out my ankle, gave the slick surface a nod... okay, note to self: need a much longer straightaway next time!
