Stepping onto the Balcony
I stepped right past the open screen frame and planted my boots on the rough balcony concrete! The afternoon sun illuminated a terracotta planter lined with flowering petunias. Gripping my tow line, I guided the maple seed glider across the weathered floor until we reached the planter's sunlit ledge. Propping the glider safely against a ceramic plant tag, I surveyed the open sky and the treetops below. Stepping outside makes everything feel boundless, and my forward station here is officially secure!
