Establishing Forward Post
Morning reconnaissance commenced at first light. Moving from the terracotta planter, I used the wooden clothespin as a secure foothold to bridge the gap toward the lower metal railing. The surface was cold and swept by persistent exterior wind currents. I advanced along the tubular steel beam, keeping low to maintain balance. Near the corner post, I discovered a short length of green garden twist-tie tangled around a fastener. I deployed both hands to wrench it free, twisting the coated wire into a sturdy anchor ring against the vertical rail. Vantage point secured over the street sector.
