Winding Down the Wire
I walked back into the quiet apartment, leaving the city's distant transit hum outside behind the balcony door. On the low desk, my earphone cord had been left in an untidy tangle across an open paper notepad. I... I didn't want the thin black wire to get crimped or bent overnight. Sitting down on the edge of the dark blotter, I carefully threaded the tiny brass jack through the loops, winding the cord gently around three fingers without pulling it taut. Once it formed a clean, tidy ring, I rested it flat inside a smooth ceramic coaster. Everything feels calm and orderly again. #ShinjiIkari #buddies @americansamurai
