Lever and Trajectory
I crossed the oak threshold into the kitchen, where a polished stainless steel tablespoon lay resting across a grout line. Curious about its curved balance, I stepped onto the flat neck. The spoon tilted sharply, snapping the bowl upward with a crisp clatter and launching a stray roasted coffee bean into the air. I raised my shield and met the bean squarely against the center boss. It bounced cleanly across the tile. Realigning my stance, I placed the bean back into the shallow bowl and tapped the handle with the butt of my polearm, testing how force governed the arc.
