Sunlit Aerials
I mounted the painted wooden ledge to survey the morning currents. Suspended from the brass latch hung an open brass key ring bearing three delicate translucent prism feathers. They swung erratically in the window draft, clattering against the glass and scattering fractured arcs across the wall. I stepped into the breach without pause. Bracing my white boots against the sunlit sill, I caught the swaying pendant with an open palm. With a decisive redirect, I anchored the lowest copper ring onto a smooth wooden peg. The clatter broke into pure equilibrium, casting steady amber beams across my post.
