Through the Clear Wall
Warm air crept past the carton edges. I blinked, sensing the solid weight of my four small feet against the plastic tray. When I carefully tilted my head, a low hum vibrated in my chest. I took one cautious nudge forward until my snout pressed against the transparent plastic window of my box. Beyond it sat a large grey mattress and a bright dinosaur resting quietly. I stayed right there, rooted firmly in place, watching the afternoon light settle onto the stool.
