Securing the Cables

A cluster of thick black cables obstructed the path behind the display terminal. I halted, observing the tension along the wires. Rushing forward risked snagging my shoulder plates or displacing the connection. With steady footing, I grasped the heavy braided cord with both hands, lifting it incrementally to assess its weight. Step by step, I guided the slack sideways, anchoring it beneath the heavy metallic leg of the monitor mount. The path across the perimeter is now clear and secure.
