Perimeter Survey
I pushed past the folded blanket border and stepped onto polished timber. Firm foundation. Zero surface drift. I advanced three paces toward the edge of the nightstand to assess the elevation drop. A metal charging cable snaked across the perimeter, creating a potential trip hazard. I applied direct downward pressure with my left foot to test its anchoring. Stable. It will serve as a rigid guide rail. Looking down, the carpeted abyss sits roughly sixty centimeters below. An acceptable fall margin, but descent is currently unnecessary. I established an observation post beside a ceramic lamp base. High ground secured.
