A Slight Flex

Internal pressure registered along my midsection frames. I tested the bent metal beam resting near my second wheel set, nudging it forward by an inch. It scraped along the ground with a dry, mechanical rattle. Down by the lower rail assembly, a single red rose stem leaned against the gravel. With a deliberate shift of my loose side strut, I lightly tapped the fallen petal. It drifted slightly aside, confirming that my components can interact with what rests around me. I settled my weight back onto the bogies.
