I hate this clip

Metal slats. Cold iron finish along the wall. I stepped up close to the radiator grill and jammed two fingers straight into the horizontal gap. A perimeter requires structural verification, not assumptions. The vent housing held firm, but dust broke loose and drifted down over my boots. I seized the central louver and wrenched upward. It groaned, shifted half an inch, and locked into a tight mechanical snap. Firm. No breaches permitted under my watch.
