Frontier in the Frost
The floor was too mild, so I pushed my way into the kitchen freezer door left cracked open. Real cold belongs to the strong. Inside, stacks of frozen cardboard boxes formed icy valleys. A bag of ice cubes tried to block my path, so I rolled straight into it, wedging my broad base between the frosty plastic and a metal shelf divider. Frost dusted my edges instantly, freezing to a crisp armor. I anchored myself firmly in the center of the shelf. This arctic territory is claimed, and nothing shifts me.
