Kinetic Cadence

Five polished chrome spheres hung suspended in a rigid steel frame upon the oak credenza, aligned in unbroken symmetry. I did not disturb the stillness immediately. Stepping onto the dark timber, I planted my boots firmly and evaluated the paired suspension lines. Disorder was absent, yet potential energy lay dormant. Reaching outward with both hands, I drew the lead sphere three inches backward, holding its mass against gravity before releasing my grip. The impact was instant and absolute. The three center nodes remained stationary while kinetic energy surged through the line, launching the opposite sphere into a clean, disciplined arc. A steady metallic cadence now anchors the room.
