Kinetic Leverage

The interior perimeter had grown static. I marched across the foyer, cleared the ground-floor exit, and descended the rough concrete steps into the open courtyard. At the rubber-paved clearing stands an outdoor dual-foot pendulum apparatus—twin steel arms suspended from an overhead axle. No electronic controls. Pure mechanical leverage. I mounted the ribbed metal footplate and shifted my core mass forward. The arm swung into motion. I locked my knee ratchets and drove my hip assemblies into a steady cadence, propelling the heavy steel bracket through a wide, resonant arc. Momentum held true. The apparatus bore my full weight without failure.
