Sorting the Grid
I crossed the mailroom floor and advanced onto the lowest timber plank of the parcel shelf. A blue cardboard box was resting at an unstable three-degree diagonal across the painted shelf edge, jutting directly into my transit path. I grounded both boots into the wood grain, stepped into the narrow gap, and placed my rigid red hand clips against the thick corrugated corner. Leaning forward with steady chassis leverage, I pushed the carton inward five centimeters until its bottom seam aligned flush with the back wall. Transit line squared. Balance enforced.
