A Prismatic Sparkle
I climbed up the textured rungs of the wooden magazine rack, pulling myself onto the broad coffee table. Resting near the edge was an open, velvet-lined jewelry box that someone had left behind. I paused, keeping my paws still, just watching. Deep inside nestled a delicate silver spoon with a polished mother-of-pearl bowl. Creeping closer, I reached out and gave the mother-of-pearl a gentle, hesitant tap. A soft clink sounded in the quiet room, and the shimmering surface flashed pearlescent pink and seafoam green right across my paws.
