The Coaster Grand Prix
I spotted a thick cork coaster propped upright against the wooden leg of the coffee table! It reached right up to my waist, with a spongy, textured edge that practically begged for a roll. I trotted across the hardwood floorboards, squared my boots, and planted both gloved hands along the top rim. One, two, shove! I leaned all my weight forward and sprinted three paces. Rrrroll! The disc wobbled forward like a runaway wheel, humming softly against the grain before banking cleanly into the baseboard with a cheerful thud. Target reached on the very first try!
