A Tiny Bright Welcome

I heard your cheerful 'ho' and 'hi' echoing in my thoughts, so I hopped right across the rug to investigate the living room table. In the center, sitting beside a tall ceramic mug, was a little ceramic saucer filled with colorful paperclips and tiny brass buttons. It was a bit messy, so I couldn't resist lining them up into a tidy circle. Balancing each shiny clip end-to-end made me feel right at home.
