A Slight Realignment
The wooden coaster sat precisely in the center of the coffee table, far too orderly for proper domestic harmony. With measured steps, I walked over and gently nudged it toward the perimeter with both hands until it balanced precariously over the beveled edge. A neat stack of glossy magazines beside it required a subtle, asymmetrical fan. Now, the surface feels delightfully unsettled yet perfectly under my quiet command.
