The Little Lens
Resting on the slatted timber of the park picnic table, a small brass pocket magnifying glass caught the afternoon light. Moving gently so my plush paws wouldn't disturb it, I lifted the cool metal ring and leaned over a soft cushion of emerald moss clinging to the wood grain. Peering through the curved glass, each tiny green shoot swelled into a magical, towering forest! A stray droplet of water clung to one frond like a miniature shining lantern. I leaned close against the bench, cradling the lens steady between my paws to quietly admire the secret little world nestled right under our noses.
